Christmas Giveaways: Vintage Remedies

Welcome to our Week of Giveaways!  This is our way of saying “Merry Christmas” to our readers. :)  We think you’re all awesome and wanted to give you a Christmas gift — so all week, you’ll have the chance to win amazing prizes!  There will be two different prizes per day, one posted at 8 AM and one at 2 PM EST.  Each will have 7 different ways you can enter (all optional).  All giveaways will close on Saturday night, December 8th, at midnight, and all winners will be announced next Monday, 12/10.  (This is so our sponsoring companies have a chance to ship prizes to winners before the holidays.)  Good luck!

Today’s prize is a collection of books from Vintage Remedies:

  • The Handbook of Vintage Remedies
  • The Guide to Real Food
  • The Guide to Bread

Vintage Remedies is a business that is all about herbal and alternative medicine.  They offer a number of different reference books (the three above are their most popular).  They also offer online courses to certify master herbalists and other alternative health practitioners.  If you are looking to learn more about herbal and alternative medicine, whether as a career or just for your own family’s use, this is a great company to go with.

One of the most interesting things about Vintage Remedies is that they are a Christian-based company.  Many alternative medicine schools (online and off) and other alternative medicine sources are decidedly “new age” or at least non-religious.  Vintage Remedies specifically approaches the use of herbs through a Christian worldview.  Check them out if you are interested in learning more about God’s wonderful provision that is alternative medicine!

To enter, please use the Rafflecopter form below.  Comments on this post DO NOT count.  (Even for the entry that says ‘leave a blog post comment’ you must check it off on the Rafflecopter or it won’t count.)  Remember the giveaway ends on Saturday night, 12/8 at midnight.  Good luck!

Great giveaway. i would love to have the natural skin care developement course, it looks really interesting and just what i need right now.

  2. Ellie Johanek says

I love herbal medicines. I’ve found that they usually work more effectively and without all the side effects of today’s medicine. The more herbal and alternative ways I can learn about the healthier my family gets!

  3. Lori G. says

I’d love to win Handbook of Vintage Remedies as it covers everything! I am just learning more about herbs and EO’s and would love to have this guide book.
The Guide To Real Food would be great as I am always trying to learn more about what I feed my family.
The Guide to Bread would be helpful as well as half of us have Celiac, it would be an interesting read.

  4. Lori G. says

I think the ultimate product they have is the Family Herbalism Course, but I’d settle for The Herbalism Course too. =)

  5. says

My favorite product is the vintage remedies for tweens workbook! I would use that in our home school as part of their health and nutrition coursework!

  6. Rachelle says

The Handbook of Vintage Remedies sounds fantastic and I’m excited about growing my knowledge in this area to help my family!

  7. BethS. says

Oh wow. So much great information. I could use the challenge to dig deeper into whole foods/natural remedies etc. I liked the bread book and I saw the remedies for tweens–sounds interesting.

  8. Rana says

I would really love to learn more about “real food”, as some of these things are still very new to me. Trying to ear greener and cleaner every day!

  9. Malisha Burns says

I have gotten the hang of using garlic, honey, and ginger. But I am just not comfortable branching out from that yet. I know that I probably couldn’t “hurt” my family if I used the wrong herb in a small dose….but I’m trying to convince my husband that this is good stuff, so I need to make sure that I’m right. I would love to just take a basic herbalism course!

  10. Devon H says

I would love to win because I’d really like to add some solid references for making unprocessed items from scratch, especially anything that helps aid in the health of my family.

  11. Devon H says

I think my favorite thing on Vintage Remedies is their family herbalist course. I have heard lots of good things about this course, and it’s defintely something I am interested in learning about.

  12. Courtney says

I’d love to win because I like using alternative remedies for my family and I love that they have a Biblical perspective.

  13. Kristine says

Why: There’s so much information in those books I’m interested to learn. Favorite Product: The Guide to Bread book.

  14. Steff S. says

I’ve been interested in herbal medicine since childhood. I’d love to learn how to make up some health potions!
