But the Real Salt company doesn’t just carry plain ol’ salt. Oh no. They have so much more than that! I had no idea what they carried until they were nice enough to send me a box of goodies.
Now…you should know, one of the perks of being a blogger is that a lot of companies like to send me free stuff. They are hoping that I will advertise for them and talk about their products to my ever-growing audience. They are hoping I will really like their products and consider them top-quality.
Most of the time…I don’t.
A lot of products out there are “fine.” They’re acceptable to me, as someone who is trying to live a natural lifestyle. There’s nothing that jumps out at me as “bad.” They’re, you know…fine. :)
Every now and then, though, maybe less than 5% of the time, something really jumps out at me. I’m actually excited to have it. I buy it later with my own money. This is rare, truly…I am not easy to impress.
But Real Salt is one of those products.
I buy Real Salt all the time. I get sad when I run out of Real Salt and have to temporarily use what’s at one of the grocery stores near me (only one store near me carries it in bulk and I don’t go there very often). I love Real Salt.
Real Salt’s Products
Now, as I mentioned above…Real Salt is about more than just salt. Certainly they have salt. But they have lots of varieties of salt, that I didn’t even know about! In addition to their “regular” salt, they also have:
- Kosher salt (chunky)
- Onion salt (I love this)
- Garlic salt
- Seasoned Salt
- Mini-salt shakers (for traveling!)
- Bath salts
Beyond their salts, they also do clay. Next month we will be talking all about their clay and the many uses for that. But one use for their clay is for their Earthpaste (tooth paste), which my kids love. And I feel safe letting them use it, too.

I have been using realsalt for at least five years. it is my favorite mostly because it was all I had used up until recently. I have tried the toothpaste, and that was pretty nice. I love the ingredients.

I just bought their fine salt and really like it when I’ve used it. I still have some conventional salt to use up so I’ve been using the real salt when it would be noticed, not when doing things like salting boiling water.

I want to try the Organic Onion salt. It sounds like it does not include any starch which so many onion “powders” do include.
we’ve been using real salt for about 6 months since we started the GAPS diet. It tastes so much better than table salt. And I love that it has all the needed minerals for my family.
