We use bath salt a lot around here.
Usually, we have been using cheap Epsom salts. So when Real Salt gave us a chance to try their bath salts, I was intrigued! I love bath salts and I love Real Salt, so what’s not to love about the two combined?
Redmond Bath Salts
A lot of the bath salt out there is refined and perfumed. This is not so good — petroleum-derived products (fragrance) in a product that is supposed to help you relax and detox? I don’t think so.
Redmond’s bath salts are kind of pinkish and brownish, much like their table salt. We were given a 7-lb. tub to try (which is what one lucky winner will get also!). I used these every time I took a bath for awhile — and they seemed to help with detox and they were nice. They make for a pretty pinkish bath!
We have definitely noticed less muscle soreness and also that we feel better after using these. My husband uses them specifically for detox and usually feels very tired and ready to sleep after — an indication that they are pulling out some “junk” and he needs to then recover a bit. He tries for a bath daily. I take one 1 – 2 times per week or any time I am not quite feeling well, because they do seem to help detox the junk in a safe manner (yes, safe for pregnancy and nursing).
I also chose to add them to my postpartum herbal bath. Sea salt can promote healing, which I will need at that point. That mix contains oatstraw, yarrow, uva ursi, comfrey, lemon balm, and this salt. I haven’t tried it for this use yet, though.
These bath salts are a little messy, though. They tend to leave a pinkish-brownish mess in the bottom of the tub. It’s easily rinsed away if you have a shower or a cup of water, but — it’s something to know. You can just leave it in the for the next bath and it won’t hurt anything, though. It’s not dirt, just remnants from the unrefined salt. Sometimes I rinsed it, sometimes not. It certainly never stained the tub or created any problems, even when I didn’t rinse it.

TESTING!
We’re recovering from NoroVirus over here. Sitting in a bath, relaxing while also detoxing would be heavenly.
I love taking relaxing baths!
I’d love to try them for the detoxing benefits.
Redmond Bath Salts-I would use them in a soaking bath to keep the toxins down in my body. I would probably add lavender essential oil for a very relaxing bath.
I would use them for baths to keep toxins down! I love these.
I’m pregnant and have been looking for a good bath salt to use.
I would love to try Redmond Bath Salts plus because of the trace minerals it contains. Our lives have become so artificial and we are baby stepping our way back to God’s natural ways. Thank you for this opportunity to try Redmond Bath Salts Plus!
I would love to try these. I have only used Epsom salts in the past, but from reading about these with all the trace minerals , they sound much better. I would love to try them for detox baths!
